We are committed to improving accessibility, and we know that we can achieve this by making some important changes to our telephone system.
Further to patient feedback, we have planned improvement works to our telephone systems, and we will be replacing the outdated systems which have been causing issues to patients getting through and being cut off whilst speaking with a staff member. We will also be adding more lines which will allow a greater number of patients to get through to us at busy times.
For now, there will be no change to our telephone number, so there is nothing you need to do. We will inform you about telephone number changes in due course.
This improvement work has been scheduled to commence on Wednesday 19 April 2017 and we expect there to be some downtime between 11am and 2pm on this date. However we will have a backup telephone diversion which will provide a reduced service during the downtime, on the same telephone number. Further work will be announced as the engineering dates are confirmed to us.
